D.A.R. State Forest offers more than 1,700 acres of recreation, including a popular beach for swimming on Upper Highland Lake, a shady picnic area and pavilion, and camping. You’ll find mixed-use trails through hardwood forest, camping, boating, snowmobiling and more, including an accessible trail that runs along the forested shoreline of Upper Highland Lake and provides scenic water views.
