From its origins in the Berkshire Hills in Western Massachusetts, the Westfield River links historic villages, prime farmlands, pristine wilderness areas and breathtaking waterfalls and gorges. In recognition of these “outstandingly remarkable” resources, more than 78 miles of the Westfield River’s headwater tributaries and three major branches are designated as a National Wild & Scenic River.
