A former railroad yard, this urban park uses historical artifacts and exhibits to bring to life the controversial and danger-filled construction of the Hoosac Tunnel, one of the greatest engineering feats of the 19th century.

The Visitors Center, operated by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, provides tourist information, particularly focusing on the state forests and parks in the area. It also offers a documentary film about the Hoosac Tunnel, which is still in use today.
