Established in 1968 and selected as one of six “best small music festivals in the USA” by Time magazine, Sevenars has been featured in films, radio, television and the press. It was founded and directed by pianists Robert and Rolande Schrade and their family of celebrated pianists. The Sevenars guests have included such artists as the Noble/Sparkman Jazz Duo, the Eroica Trio and the New York Lyric Chamber players. The concerts are scheduled weekly during July and August, and generally are held on Friday nights and Sunday afternoons.
